I find your lack of Mustang II... disturbing.

We're ignoring that little fau paux. Both on Blipshift's part and FoMoCo's

Take it up with them, not me (I agree with you, although if we go for the Mustang II, i'm arguing for most of the other body styles)

If they used Illustrator and a Wacom to make this, I guarantee you it took no longer than 10 minutes to make the design for this

I find the lack of SN95 More disturbing. It was a big hit and retro before retro was a thing.

Sorry, I scheduled this as a repost, after posting at 10pm last night. I normally try to post it a couple times so that people see it. This is the first time I've been on today

Okay, I forgive you. <3

Thanks Chase for promoting my work - 5th one within 3 months! I may be able to buy a 60s Mustang fender or something now!

Lol I used Photoshop and a Wacom.
I did however ensure the 3 have the correct measurements (and scaled correctly) plus did some refining of the edges - so it took me 11 minutes

And Salman is one letter away from a fish but I live with it!

I originally had all of them but it looked cluttered, so we went with The First, The Comeback, and The Latest

Im an art student, But even Im surprised I was that close on the completion time. Still a cool design. As My fundamentals of Design teacher says: "the simplest design is always the best design"
EDIT: Wait, You used photoshop and you didnt have pixillation in the screen print? How did you achieve that?

Lol no I was joking!
Being serious it took 30min and that included downloading all the Mustangs (I previously used all 6 which we whittled down), going on wikipedia to get the length dimensions, and then using Excel to work out the scaling.
I worked on a document which was around 4000px wide and 3500px high. As Blipshift use roughly the same there wouldnt be that much (if any) scaling/pixellation issues.
Then used the pen tool (with the pressure sensitive brush option at 15px) to get the main stroke. Done the same thing again for the top/bottom edges but at 3px brush (this was seperate layers before I combined the 3 together).
The reason I done it this way is to get a bit more control with how the line dipped near the windscreen base and at the bumpers. I could have done it in illustrator but would have taken a bit more time.
PS - The Blipshift Crew sometimes edit the work as well - for instance I originally submitted on white background with the Mustang Aqua Blue as the stroke colour - but they inverted them.

I like the white stroke, it emphasizes the cleanliness of your lines. you have to admit though, 30 minutes is not a lot of time compared to the money blipshift is making off of this. I've been thinking of doing something similar, but with a Maita and the front of the car. Going generationally. From NA-ND. I've been thinking of doing this for the past month or so, but have been too busy to pull the trigger on it

Lol yeah its not a lot of time.
However the way their model works is you submit and compete against other submissions and they publish one. To increase my chances I submit in batches - some i spend more time than others - so i guess if you average it out it, its more reasonable.
Your idea sounds cool and I reckon theyll use it as they have a bunch of miata designs anyway and a good portion of their designs is inspired by other designs.
For example this one i submitted was a rehash of the Porsche one i did, which itself was inspired by the Kimi one someone else did.
PS - not sure how much money they make as they need to pay for printing, distribution, staff, etc but we get $1 per shirt sold which is reasonable

Any tips on how to submit to them? I've never done it and am completely clueless to the process

I guess you can go two ways:
1. The official way is to submit here:
http://blipshift.com/pages/submit-a…
2. Or try contacting them, give a no-look handjob (maybe), and ask for a Blipshifters email. Thats what I did - I would give the email but not sure if im allowed/Blipshifter may get annoyed
PS - They have an ARTIST SUBMISSION KIT which is a PSD file. It has an image of the shirt colours and a boundary box where you fit in your design. You should use it to optimise the artwork/select shirt colour, increase your chances of winning, and lower the editing work they will have to do.
